Re: New to reloading 5.7, what are safe ways to work UP load

In addition to those mentioned above, look for signs like flattened primers and case neck moving excessively. If you don't have a chrono, get one. It's a good tool that you can pick up for less than $100. Compare your velocities to those posted by others, for reference. I work up to max listed loads...

A little late to the party, but.....did anyone else notice the discharges into the ground??? That would constitute scenario failure in my opinion.

Re: EFK vs Jarvis

Jay, do you think the exposed ring clip is really an issue? My factory barrel has an exposed clip and has had zero problems. Aside from the possible issues, have there been any documented problems with this aspect?

Re: compensator for five seven

So they beefed up the MKII frame? Good deal. My plan was to have a thread-on comp with an aesthetic 'match weight' (as shown in the picture). This would make it safe for both the USG and the MKII I think.

Re: compensator for five seven

I would like to sell some, however this is just a plastic prototype, and I don't have the actual compensator done yet (I need a threaded barrel). It may be feasible to do this portion plastic and the comp metal. There have been reports of rail mounted devices cracking the frame, so a plastic piece h...

Re: New Custom Slide Cover (Plastic with front slide serrati

I think I have found another company to print them, but they are more expensive and quantity sensitive. I can no longer order just one piece without paying an outrageous amount, so this will slow the prototype process down.

Re: Five seven ct legal?

There may be some CT residents on the forum, but I would advise checking your local laws on your own. Popular opinion obtained from a poll on an internet forum isn't the best way to determine facts about your local laws. That being said, I would assume the mag capacity is an issue, but I don't know....

Welcome to almost everyone's world who is trying to outsource components...although it is more of a problem for the small business owner, that's for sure.

Re: New Slide Cover (Plastic)

Why not just find someone with a 3d printer? They are cheap in comparison. I know of quite a few locals that have them. You have to be careful with those, a guy had a blog where he planned on make a gun with one. As soon as the company found out they cancelled his contract and sent people to take a...

Re: compensator for five seven

Yeah I proto'd one. It looked pretty cool once I finally got it installed (took some adjusting), but definitely needed the actual compensator mounted to the barrel to complete the look. It's pretty much on the bottom of my list right now, but maybe some day it'll happen. well when you get it setup ...

Re: compensator for five seven

I'll try to remember to put it back on and snap a few pictures over the weekend. Again, it's only the rail mounted portion plastic prototype. I don't have a threaded barrel so I couldn't proto the actual compensator.
