5" long slide version does not have a manual safety. Contacted FN and rep told me the long slide had early publicity that mentioned optional manual safety listed by mistake. You are correct 4" yes and 5" no.

Seems to be some confusion at my LGS whether or not this model is available with a manual safety. I know I have seen it mentioned as well as pictures in different articles. Anyone seen one with a manual safety or have anymore information.

I was at a local GS today and it was the same old thing. Bare ammo shelves. The ups guy brought in a case of magtech ammo and people were coming off of the range to see what it was and how much they could get.

Shoulder looks very similar to my loads. They drop in and out of the EA go/no go gauge. I have fired hundreds without any issues.

I have a friend who swears by his Browning A Bolt. To each his own. The best gun is always one you like and feel comfortable with. I'm not a Browning fan myself either.

Never had the opportunity to shoot a custom bolt. I have a savage in .243 that shoots well but it doesn't feel anywhere as comfortable as this one to shoot.

I use the new crimp remover for the RCBS prep station. I only lightly turn the primer pocket. Has worked well for me.

I was talking to a guy at the range yesterday, he said they (gov) are buying all the ammo in order to keep it out of our hands. Apparently a lot of gun powder is mixed/blended in Australia & there is a shipment due in soon. He's also worried that bambam may use executive orders to prevent that ship...

Took it to the range today and the only word I can think of is amazing. Accuracy and function was flawless. I can't get over how it feels shouldered. This is going to make a great varmint and practice rifle.

I got it for 970.00. Havn't had a chance to shoot it yet but it sure shoulders nice. I mounted a revenge varmint range finding scope on it. If all goes well I can put a few rounds down range this weekend.

Found one at a local gun shop today. I love the hogue stock and the balance of the gun. Needless to say I picked it up. I'll give some feedback after I get a chance to visit the range with it. I've got some loads that should go thru it well.

It's sad when you can't find a single box of .22 ammo within 30 miles. Surely the madness won't last much longer. I use the .22 for practice and my daughter loves to send them down range. We have slowed down a bit since our reserve has dropped to a few thousand rounds.

I am using the spring loaded shell holder on my trim pro 2. Having trouble with 22 pilot being extremely tight in shell neck. Spinning some of the brass in the shell holder and scuffing the brass pretty badly. Doesn't seem to matter how I try to adjust the brass in the shell holder. A few have even ...

I came across a guy who cleans out M/LE ranges. He sells 5.7 brass for 100 per 1000. I bought all he had. He is gonna let me know when he gets another load ready to sell.

So much for trying to help someone out. My local Wal Mart usually has great prices, they just stay sold out. Ill pick up a 100 at a great price any day to send down range. Extra bonus I can re load the brass.

Picked up a Windham yesterday with a recommendation from a friend at the range. Put 500 rounds thru it today. Superb accuracy and flawless operation.
