Re: 2nd month impression!
Did not take any offense and no I am only important to my family and friends who are fortunate enough to live in the less liberal Central Valley where we hunt and fish and eat meat

2nd month impression!
After the initial cycling problems the first week, no more problems. I love it more after each round. I replaced the recoil spring with the 20lb spring from Elite and am now using FrogLube exclusively and it works as advertised. Just returned from the range where we put 100 rnds each of 195,197and 1...

Re: Legal question?
To the OP: If you really want legal advice, contact a local attorney... not an internet forum. Thanks, I got the info needed..Kinda looks like a subjective call... Since using anything but factory ammo voids the warranty could that cause the same dilemma from a different perspective? :ponder: :pond...

Legal question?
I may not have used the right search criteria, so feel free to point me to the appropriate thread. Question is that I am on the list to have EA " accurize " my FsN and wondered if ever I should have the misfortune to be in a situation where the need to use it was deemed necessary. Could I be held as...

SS198LF or EA/
I've searched and have found a little info, most is very subjective and I am OK with that. Just wondering what the view is on the ss198, is EA ammo so much better than the 198 at 4 times the cost? I have 2 boxes of penetrator, 1 box protector and 4 boxes of ss198 and will be headed to the range this...

Re: Not cycling!
UPDATE!!! Seems all it needed was a little more lube than I am accustomed to providing. Used some Tri-Lube liberally and just got back from the range after 300 rounds of pure unadulterated fun... JoJo, don't know if you went to Classicarms or not but, the order I thought I had made did not go throug...

Re: Not cycling!
JoJo, put 5.7X28 in the search box brings it right up. The FNH rep. was saying the 27 grain may not cycle properly till broke in while the 40 grain is a bit stout. Will get back next week with results.

Re: Not cycling!
Talked to someone at FNH who said that they recommend using a couple boxes of SS197 ammo to break in a new weapon. He says my experience is somewhat normal, wonder why they don't include that little tidbit in the manual? :furious: Anyway found some 197 on classicarms for $19.99 in stock and picked u...

Re: Not cycling!
Thanks for the thought Mister Freeze, had a couple of local SWAT members with us and they each had same reaction. One field stripped it and cleaned it as well as possible and tried again with same result. The slide does not move when discharged but can be manually cycled and ejects properly.. :wall:

Not cycling!
Tried a search and got a few hints, but they did not help. New FsN picked up yesterday and put 250 rounds of SS195LF factory ammo with zero issues. Just got back from the range where after the first shot it would not automatically cycle, I could manually cycle and the round would eject.I tore the we...

Re: Got my FsN and headed to the range!
Just got back, ran 250 rounds SS195LF with no hiccups.. Airdog mine was built 08/09/11,but the mags are not like the pics. Also I have CA 10 rounders :wall: so that could be the reason. Just made sure to double tap the butt and had a great time, going out again tomorrow with my son and his 1911 operat...

Re: FN FiveseveN Pistol Variants
I know this is not correct for mine either, it looks like a USG but on the metal stamped serial number on the rail my serial number states "38623XXXX " no letters only numbers
