FNP all the way. Its 100-200 cheaper, its tried and tested, and it is the best 40 on the market for the money. I owned a Sig P226 in .40 and my FNP-40 shoots alot better than my Sig ever did.

I have no doubt that one well placed 5.7 shot would drop a hog or larger animal for that matter. Its just that ive seen videos of shots from 44 Mags that just piss off the hogs and then they charge. I dont want to be on the business end of that situation.

What is the difference in the trigger feel with the disconnect removed? Does it reduce pull weight?

This round is born +P and only gets hotter from there. The designation +P is used mainly as a selling point/ warning for firearms not rated at those pressures.

I think one thing the ballistic tip/pointed bullets have over jhp is the tumble factor. Thats where this round shines in being effective. Benelli Nova Pump. You can use 2 3/4, 3, and 3 1/2" magnum shells in it. You can shoot slugs through it. And you can quick swap longer barrels in it for hunting purposes. Has some very easy to acquire ghost ring sights installed too. Check one out you will not be disappointed.
