Re: PS90 SBR :D

2 problems here:

1: It shouldn't have to be an SBR, that's what it's supposed to look like. Maybe after the HPA...

2: I'm seriously on the fence about an SBRd PS90, looks so much handier around the house than my AR...

Re: FNH 5.7 quit ejecting

I've got plans to do an 80% 1911 in .460 Rowland down the road. Gonna be tough since I know zero about the 1911 platform.

Re: FNH 5.7 quit ejecting

I'm also short of air and air pressure. Some of my own testing has revealed that it doesn't make too much of a difference at pistol distances, velocities at the muzzle are pretty consistent from here to the flat lands. I'm starting to wonder if there wasn't, or isn't, something wrong with your gun. ...

Re: FNH 5.7 quit ejecting

Your old primer flow is troubling, that's too much for factory ammo. If I was reloading, I'd count that as a pressure sign and call it day. Do you have a chronograph?

Re: Possibility of an "Echo" Trigger for the PS90?

... As I understand it, if you somehow depress the trigger and don't want to fire the second shot, engaging the safety will prevent it from firing. ... This is the way I understand it as well. Tactical, useful, HD, SD - Nope. Fun as hell - Yep. Because of money, I'd probably not do an AR, P90, ect....

Re: Possibility of an "Echo" Trigger for the PS90?

One shot fired per trigger pull, that's the law. If you fire a shot, and then hammer follow causes another shot to be fired, it's off to the poke with you. From what I've seen of the Binary trigger, hammer following, resulting in a cycling of the charging handle and ejecting of a live round, is a bi...

Re: Best powder for 40-50 gr?

HS-7 of course. I hear people have trouble finding it though. I'd think something on the slower end of acceptable powders would be your best bet for the heavier stuff. Maybe True Blue.

Re: Possibility of an "Echo" Trigger for the PS90?

Don't know about the P90, but I spoke with FosTech about the Echo, and it uses a proprietary bolt carrier to function in an AR. They mentioned some tweaking had been done to get it working with 22LR conversions in the AR, and maybe 9mm conversions, but for now, regular old ARs only. If you could mod...

Re: Handloads are mid-air tumbling

Heat them up a bit, I've gotten 55s up around 1500, and I've heard rumors of them into the 1800s. Not sure if you can get there with those powders, haven't tried them, but I've gotten all round holes in the 1400s. All barrels are different though, you might have one on the slower end of the twist ra...

Re: FNH 5.7 quit ejecting

What a weird pistol, never would have crossed my mind that a missing LCI would shut it down like that. Cases look fine to me, keep an eye open for necks about half that long, dented case mouths, and extremely carbon fouled necks (not from a dirty chamber, but from blow by). I've not heard of overpre...

Re: Why do they call it 28mm

Yup, welcome to FN world, where no one else lives. It's also not a .224 bore, saw one slugged recently at .221. I measured a fired case, came up with 29.xx mm without trimming, but no way am I knocking a mm off during trimming, so it's all make believe, just like the .38 and .380.

Some pictures of the missing LCI would help us figure out what happened. Can you see anything odd going on from the inside of the slide with it removed? All factory ammo it sounds like, yeah?

Reloading without a chrono is like reloading without a scale, especially with the 5.7

Re: Elite Ammunition T6B Gel Test

I've never really gotten an answer, so I'll ask again. Who is getting attacked by bad guys wearing Kevlar? I get that the 5.7 can punch through some armor, and that's cool, but why do we place so much importance on this? Has anyone here even been in a gunfight? Was the guy wearing armor that shut do...
