Re: Is anyone still here?

I deliberately keep data segmented as much as possible. So yea, FB is ok for some kinds of interactions, but I just don't like the idea the idea of them attaching my gun hobbies along with every other possible piece of data they can find about me and then selling it to the highest bidder. You mean something like this :) ? They work particularly good if you also have the same sized cheap plastic ammo cans that go on sale for like $5 every so often. That way you can stack everything nicely.

I had one made by a machine shop student....it's not great, but it was cheap. I'll see if I can find the drawing it did for it if you think you can actually get some made. I'd also be interested in one cause I had to do some modifications to mine in order to get it to match my drawing.

I used to work the International Handgunner Comperition and most years somebody would get DQ'd for an AD/ND....some were just tards, some were strong, sharp competitors. Only remember one guy actually shooting himself though....granted he only had one arm and in order to rack the slide, he would rak...

Please read the previous post - that shellplate was tried & it didn't work. Yes, that was a couple of years ago and you may also be able to modify it to work BUT, do not buy the #15 shellplate for the 5.7 & expect it to be perfect right out of the box/bag. It may take some work. Thanks, I'll keep t...

Re: reloads not working in ar-57 mags

It may be the same issue that some of use were having on our FsN mags with reloaded rounds. The resizer die was actually slightly tapered and therefore caused binding issues when loaded to full capacity with reloads. So far I've only noticed this with the Hornady dies (which have been phenomenal exc...

Panasonic Lumix TS2/TS3 series of underwater/outdoor cameras are awesome. Ours has survived several years worth of all the abuse that we could throw at it (which has included drops, kicks, black-diamond ski slopes...without anybody attached to the leash...ect) Love it. Against the recommendations of the gun-forum commandos (99% of whom have never tried nor presented valid arguments for their opinions) you could make up a mild bullet-less "barrel clearing" load. That being said, if it's a primer-only squib, they're usually barely stuck at all and don't require much...

The one interesting omitted spec between those two is the barrel length. 2.9 vs. 3.3

I wouldn't turn down a double barreled AR if someone gave it to me. It might not be all that practical (kind of like dual wielding) for most scenarios, however I bet it would still be fun to shoot. Now something that I would be more interested in paying good money for would be their new pistol AR: h...

It looks like the round has an actual crimp, so unless he has a really shallow margin on his crimp die and was catching the top of the die I'd doubt that was the culprit. I don't see any shaved copper from the jacket, so I don't think it was necessarily pressed into an unexpanded case either. My gue...

Just spoke with an agent at the BATF Technology Branch in West Virginia who clarified unambiguously that they do indeed consider anything larger than .220" (and meeting the other criteria) as armor piercing. Don't some of the bigger manufacturers make .224 bullets that meet the AP definition above?...

Since the last digit is omitted it must be assumed to be outside the range of tolerance, thus .224 would default to .22 since it has no other defining tolerance and as such it would be rounded to the nearest significant digit. Also, it states "larger than .22 caliber" not larger than .22, and given ...
