Re: NEW ATI 50 ROUND PS90 / AR57 MAGS $20!!

I received 4 of them from CDNN with my PS90. None of them work at all. Maybe mine came from a bad batch, and the others are fine. But personally I'll never trust them.

Re: Interested in learning more about the PS 90

I love my PS90. But don't sell an AR-15 to get one. Save your money! :thumb: Mine functions perfectly and is a really fun little gun. Reloading for it requires attention to detail. Ya don't just stuff anything in it and expect safe, reliable performance. But it's well worth the effort to learn it's ...

Re: magazxine conversions

Moderator,

This probably belongs in the PS90 forum. (I was in a hurry when I posted it and wasn't paying attention) :wall: :wall:
I would appreciate it if you would move it.v :thumb:

Thanks

magazine conversions

CDNN has sold a ton of PS90 carbines with a 50 and 30 round FNH magazxine, and 4 Korean magazines. The Koreran mags don't work very well at all in my PS-90, but I took out the "plug" from the FNH 30 rounder and replaced it with a floorplate from one of the Korean mags and it works like a charm! :D A...

Re: iFire's FiveseveN Load Data

Thanks for the welcomes. Incidentally, has anyone tried gas checked lead (cast or swaged) bullets? So many avenues that I haven't seen mentioned yet, I can barely wait to get started. :D Back in the late seventies, I cast 50 grain GC bullets of straight linotype for a .222 Remington Thompson-Center...

Re: Loaded first 50 Rounds

My procedure for small rounds like this, .25 ACP anbd the various .32s is to load a little below max, and use factory ammo for "hotter" performance. Just my $.02! :ponder:

You're definitely on the right track.
1. Make it work
2.Make it work well
3. Make it economical to manufacture. :thumb:

Re: Reloading Fire Formed/Wildcat Brass

Ok - if your loading for any semi automatic gun - such as the FiveseveN (FsN), PS90, ar57, etc... then you have to full length size the brass for proper funtion in your respective firearm. If you were loading rounds for a bolt gun or a contender you may be able to just neck size the brass... I agre...

Re: Dillon 650 reloading

I hate to play devil's advocate here, but I think a few observations are in order. I currently load on an upgraded Dillon 450. Same as a 550, except it requires die changes since there is no removeable tool head. I had a 650 for 15 years, and loved. But when the arthritis and diabetic neuropathy cau...

Re: contacting manufacturers.

Thanks, guys. The reason I didn't contact Panzermk2 first, is that I was looking for a very large manufacturer that could make these available in bulk (500 or 1,000 packs) basically for reloading practice rounds. I plan on buying a supply of Elite in the near future, probably T-6, just in case I'm f...

contacting manufacturers.

I've just sent letters out to Hornady and Speer, asking them to provide us with a cannelured, FMJ bullet, similar to the NATO M193 ball, but weighing in at around 30 grains. With the cannelure placed in a position for crimping the 5.7 at factory length. This, IMHO, would give us nearly perfect "ball...

Re: 5.7 ammo prices

I haven't been saving any 5.7. I tried to find re-loaders but none around, and heard it's a hard one to reload. I guess I can sell by the weight, or see if any ammo mauf. are reloading. Now for the 223/556, 40, 9, I'm thinking of buying the Blue Press 1050. But not sure if it's worth it. I haven't ...

Re: SS195/197 verifycation question

FWIW, I've fired 9MM with lead frree primers that was in the ~10 year olde range. It worked fine. I don't think that I'd "stockpile" lead free primed ammo for the "war reserve" :D until we have a few more years experience with it, but the supply out there that is 10 Y.O. or less should be just fine,...

Have you tried a different resizing die???

It's possible, (though not probable) that you have a defective die.

Re: 5.7x28 Ammunition Ballistic Gelatin and other Medium Pho

I've been shooting and reloading for a long time, but I'm brand new to the 5.7 and the PS90. Looks like it's a whole new ball game compared to the stuff I'm accustomed to. (Finicky?? :ponder: ) These tables are great, and I just wanted to express my gratitude to the folks who took the time and troub...

:D If there's no offense intended, then there's one taken! :thumb:

I guess sometimes I get a little hypersensitive.

BTW, I did find the answer by googling 5.7 ammo.

(Now if I can just find an inexpensive source of SS 195 LF. But that's another quest for another day! )
