Re: What's your age group?

30 years old and totally don't care. Age is relative...

Once I get to where I can't stand up, can't walk, can't feed myself, then I'll gripe about my age.

Re: Great quality and decent fitting nylon five seven holster

Does your holster leave a lot of room from the end of the barrel to the end of the holster? Is it open? There was one Uncle Mike's that sort of fit, but it left a good 1"-1.5" of play in the bottom of the holster.

Re: Ugh why do I have such expensive taste?

have you considered a Sp101 in .327 mag? Its tiny, wont get in your way when your running around in the woods...and you get 7 shots. I really wish someone would come out with a little pocket auto in .327mag. Id get it in a heartbeat. I'd also love to reload that little sucker to see what its true p...

Re: Ugh why do I have such expensive taste?

Yeah it's super overpriced.

I'd rather get a Colt Python if I'm going to pay $900-$1000 for a revolver.

EDIT: Overpriced but of course, I still want one!!!

I'm just about ready for my next purchase and I'm floundering on three guns. FAL, PS90, or a Colt Python/This SW. Too many choices!

Ugh why do I have such expensive taste?

I don't want to bubba this thing out, but, I like the idea of a 8 shot .357 for my camping/hiking/playing in the woods gun.

I tried to fit my five seven in every damn Uncle Mike's holster they had in Sportsmans one day. Nothing came even close.

This holster is made for two or three guns. Some HK, and the five seven.

Great quality and decent fitting nylon five seven holster

I don't know about you guys but I had a hard time finding a good quality nylon holster for my five seven. When I was at the Canby gun show last week I was chatting with the guy that runs buyammo.com and he mentioned he had a five seven. I said holster, he said go see this dude. Low and behold, $20 l...

Re: Any Horse owners on the board?

Being something of an amateur expert on animal behavior, animal's don't have a sense of vengeance. They quite literally can't go out of their way to hurt you because they just aren't wired for it. They are wired to protect themselves when they feel threatened at that moment, but, a horse isn't going...

I have noticed my mag doesn't drop very easily and I have to press a little harder than I thought to get it to drop. I would guess it's simply due to the gun being so new though. I've only got 100 rounds through her so far. Actually, 80.

You only have to oil the outside of the barrel and frame rails? Crazy. I couldn't find any info about that in the manual, no videos, no diagrams. I'm a total gun newb and all my experience with handguns was with my Glock 19 that I owned for one week. That had one or two other oil spots outside the b...

I tried my 8mp Polaroid digital, and got nothing.

Grabbed my Fenix light and my Sony Ericson 2mp camera phone, held it too close to blur the reflection of the shavings and here you have it.

But, pics up in the original post. Also, I think I found rust. Ugh.

Brass shavings

As some of you know I finally got to fire my five seven for the first time last weekend. It was a real treat. I can't say enough about the weapon. Before I went out I cleaned the barrel and the majority of the shipping gunk/oil on the slide itself. When I cleaned the gun, I didn't get all the gunk t...

Two or three times I've had a problem with my brand new 500. What happens is you'll fire, and when you go to eject the spent cartridge the slide won't move. The magazine release will be stuck in the release position. The only way you can get the shell to eject is to muscle it. I think it's just need...

I thought the same thing. I wasn't stressed at all. Just figured it was either a break in thing, the fact that we were in the mountains, it was cold as hell, and foggy and super moist, or the excess packing oil I didn't get good enough.

I grew up sorting and feeding the animals at a rodeo. I've been around horses my whole life but don't have any and never have had any. I'd love to someday. I think they're just plain amazing animals. I finally got to shoot this week. Everything I'd heard about the gun is 100% true. It's like having gone from a Geo Metro to a brand new Cadillac. One weird thing did occur though. I'd put about 3 mags through and decided it was finally time to let my friends shoot it. I shot 10, friend A shot 5, th...

The form is useless to you if you did find it online. This form should have been given to you by your dealer when you purchased your firearm. It needs to have been filled out by your ffl dealer. Or else it's about as useful as a $3 bill.

I never sweat following rules in someone else's house so that didn't bother me. The only thing that bummed me out was just not getting to shoot.
