Re: Why is the FiveseveN so much more expensive...

I would be glad if it weren't Sig who brings it to market. Their old German guns were great, but all this new American (sadly) crap is unreliable as hell across the board (source: personal experience with multiple new and used Sigs in the past 6 years). Their 9mm's are the only gun that are somewhat...

Fantastic job and great writeup! Good to hear that you got solid advice from one of our own.

Good job, Buffman, for being an ambassador of the hobby.

Re: S4M Replacement S4Ti

I still have IIIA panels that c1 sent me, can't wait to shoot these up.

Have been sitting on the latest rounds to test for over a year... time to go buy some clay from Michaels, soon?

Re: New FiveSeven won't fire

Always clean new weapons. Every BNIB weapon I've bought has this thick lube that sticks like grease. I can't say if it's actually cosmoline or not but it protects the weapon from rust and it gums up the works. An example: A few years ago I traded for three of the new Ruger SR9's. I'm a Ruger fan an...

Re: Elite Ammunition T6B Gel Test

I've never really gotten an answer, so I'll ask again. Who is getting attacked by bad guys wearing Kevlar? I get that the 5.7 can punch through some armor, and that's cool, but why do we place so much importance on this? Has anyone here even been in a gunfight? Was the guy wearing armor that shut d...

Re: Elite Ammunition T6B Gel Test

Yes. EA has sold multiple weighted pills in the Trident line, in the past. They have made and experimented with even more weights than that. I've had both ss197 and AE fail in my FsN USG; it doesn't happen often, but when it does, it is a complete failure. Double feeds and completely failure to cycl...

Re: FiveseveN Mk II Failure to Extract

.02 Bottom line: Slide is NOT cycling back far enough during failure. ___ Cold bore shot; the components/materials that need to be warmed up are not warm enough. Spring is too heavy for the relatively weaker factory ammunition you are shooting. Magazine spring's upward force on the rounds and the su...

Re: Just purchased a 57 MKII. I just had some general quest

Welcome and congrats! I don't think you're asking the right question if your question is "Did anyone else have to adjust the sights from the factory for ___ ammo." On any given day they could change their procedures to adjust the sights or not adjust them after installation. Further, powder changes ...

Re: Blackhawk Serpa holster review

Resurrecting this thread from the dead.... Blackhawk FINALLY offered a Serpa for the FiveseveN MKII, they produced 300 units and then shut production down. By the time I found out about it the only source I could find was a reseller on eBay. I wound up paying almost $120.00 for a holster that shoul...

Re: New Member Introduction

Hello Guys, FNG here. I caved and bought an FN 5.7 2 weeks ago, making it my second FN handgun. The other is an FNP-40. I am a reloader, Conceal Carrier, and competitive rifle shooter. I don't shoot pistols near enough IMO. I finally started reloading for pistols this year, and have been improving ...
